  • Winter is the coldest and yet the most beautiful season of the year. Winter is the time, when most of us enjoy a holiday traveling with family and friends. But, the cold winter season can be harmful to your skin because, It makes your skin dry, dull and dehydrated.
To get the spark on your face back, follow these simple natural beauty tips:

    Skin care in winter season

Cleansing is essential in all seasons, not only in winter. Chilly weather makes your skin dry; creates dead cells and black patches on your face. When the temperature starts going down, you need to start caring your skin up.

    1. Natural cleansing:

Take 1 tbsp. of tomato juice and 1tbsp lemon juice. Mix it, put all around your face for 15 minutes and wash it off with lukewarm water. You will get back refreshing and flawless skin. It is far better than any branded cosmetic face wash.
    2. Natural Scrubbing:
Scrubbing is also equally important, but in winters you need to avoid daily scrubbing.
    1) Take 1/4 ripe banana and 1/4 Apple. Mash it in a blender, take 1 tsp. of honey and make a paste. Massage smoothly for 10 minutes on your face then rinse off.
    2) If you are exhausted and don’t want to use mixture, then the best way to is to Mix honey with coffee; massage lightly for 10 minutes. You will get a sparkling beauty after that.
    3) Grapes are natural scrub. You can directly use the grapes on your face and rub it all around your face lightly. This will make your skin soft and bright.

    3. Natural winter face pack:

    1) Mix yolk of an egg, 1 tbsp. of honey and 1 tbsp. of almond oil. Apply this mixture on the face for 20 minutes, then wash it off with lukewarm water. You can use only yolk on your face for 15 minutes and rinse it off with warm water. It will bring your complexion back.
    2) Take two tbsp. of oats and 2 tbsp. honey. Mix it properly and apply on your face for 10 minutes. Splash with lukewarm water. You will get a soft, smooth and glowing face.
    3) Mix half messed banana with half cup of butter or skimmed milk cream. Put this mixture all over the face for 10 to 20 minutes and rinse with Luke warm water. It is a natural face mask and a healthier moisturizer for winter season.
    4) Take 1 tbsp. of honey, 2 tbsp. yogurt and 1 tbsp. rose water. Mix all of the ingredients properly. Now apply this paste smoothly all over the face for 20 minutes. Rinse it off with warm water.

    4. Natural moisturizer:

Moisturizer is the most essential to keep your skin flawless in winters. Moisturize your skin several times in a day to reduce the dryness on your skin. There are many brands available in the market, which is very costly and not affordable for everybody.
Even artificial moisturizer has side effects. Olive oil, almond oil, mineral oil, avocado oil, primrose oil, sesame or jojoba is the best natural moisturizer. It pampers hydrates and protects the skin. Personally, I use jojoba oil. It stops scars, dryness and adverse effects of cold winds. You can also mix two and three oils, use it as a night massage routine.

NATURAL MADE SKIN CARE TIPS Hindi For Beauty Info Korner

  • Iqra Naveed
  • Your skin is your biggest asset. I can understand how important it is for you to choose a right skin care product. I will be telling you some homemade natural therapies for all types of skins.

Knowing your skin type is the first step in starting your skin care. There are basically 4 types of skins:-
    1. Normal skin
    2. Oily skin
    3. Dry skin
    4. Sensitive skin
    For normal skin:
Normal skin doesn’t need any special treatment. But, if you want protection from sun, pollution and extreme weather conditions and flaunt your spotless, glowing and sexy skin, you have to avoid soaps which contain various types of chemicals. You should always use homemade skin cleanser and moisturizer.
Take ¼ bowl of flour bran; add 1tsp. orange juice, 1tsp. honey and 1tsp. rose water. Mix all these and make a paste. Apply on your face and neck gently. After drying up, clean it with warm water. Use this paste on daily basis for 1 month and see the effects. Be ready for a charming and smooth skin
    For oily skin:
Take 1 tsp. lemon juice, 1 tsp. rose water and smashed Mint. Mix it and apply this paste on your face. Leave it for 20 minutes and cleanse with warm water. It’s a perfect solution for smooth and oil free skin

    For dry skin:

Reason for your dry skin is exposure to cold, wind, rain, pollution and low humidity. The harmful sunlight can bring much damage to the skin. The sun can destroy the skin’s natural protection. Dry skins are prone to bloats and allergies.
So, it is must for you to use a sunscreen or moisturizer when you go outside in sunlight. Cosmetics products are very harmful for our skin, so we should always try to avoid it. You can use following homemade remedy for best result.
Mix coconut oil, honey and orange juice in one bowl. Apply it on your dry and cracked skin; wash with warm water after 10-15 minutes. Again, clean your skin with your palm smoothly and apply the coconut oil or moisturizer thereafter. It repairs your cracked and dry skin and gives you a soft skin.
You should use this therapy in winter season, when skin tends to be drier due to extreme cold.
    For sensitive skin-
Having a sensitive skin can be very uncomfortable. Sensitive skins tend to react to anything unusual, like your new perfume, your deodorant or your cloth. This skin type is also prone to allergies when exposed to sunlight. You may see red patched and rashes on your skin.
If you have a sensitive skin, you must avoid bar soaps on your face, which can be drying and irritating. If you have hyper sensitive skin, you should use homemade toner or lotion.
Squeeze a lemon juice into a few tsp. of water and apply on your face with a facecloth. Using this lotion for long term will help your skin in getting normal. The vitamin c in lemon is great for the skin.
Homemade lotions/pastes don’t work like cosmetics, these are natural products. So, you need to use it for a longer duration to see the effects, however, the effect will be everlasting.

Prolong Pre-Game For Beauty Info Korner English

  • Iqra Naveed
  • Imagine baking brownies without preheating the oven. Or running a marathon without training. Well, it's important to apply that same logic to the bedroom: In order to have great sex, you need to get in a good warm-up first. But if you worry that your bedmate phones in foreplay just for your sake, you'll be psyched to find out that scientists at the Kinsey Institute have discovered men need a little revving up too. "Guys often don't get as much foreplay because women think an erection is proof a man is ready for sex," says Debby Herbenick, Ph.D., author of Because It Feels Good. "But men crave the intimacy and emotional connection that foreplay provides." Here are five moves to max out the buildup to sex.

    Discover new terrain
The area between your chin and throat is the most sensitive part of your neck because the nerves sit closer to the skin's surface. So get your guy to lightly lick this zone. Next, cup his testicles in your hand, stroking, rolling, and tickling them. Then massage the base of his penis. Since part of his joystick is hidden behind the scrotum, touching the base can give him novel thrills, says New York sex therapist Jane Greer, Ph.D.
    Give him a racy rubdown
Have him lie on his stomach, then straddle his back, aligning your clitoris over his sacrum (the bony plate at the base of the spine, above the butt crack). Move your hips while using your hands to massage both sides of his spine. "The friction from his tailbone will arouse you, and you'll awaken the sacral nerves that connect to his genitals," says Sandor Gardos, Ph.D., founder of MyPleasure.com.

    Caress each other
Have your guy spoon you while he reaches around and stimulates your breasts, rubbing the flesh above the areolae, in the 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock area. Meanwhile, graze your fingers along his inner thigh, stopping just before his scrotum, then quickly move back down. This thin-skinned area is especially sensitive, and coming close to his goods without making contact will keep him in a suspended state of excitement. Next, whisper something naughty. Greer says dirty talk raises testosterone levels, boosting arousal.

    Amp up oral
The penis is famous for taking center stage during oral sex, but the testicles are supporting players that rarely get recognition. Lick the nerve-rich seam (that dark line down the middle of the scrotum), then gently push up against the base of his testicles with your hand. "You'll arouse his prostate, a sensitive gland in his pelvic region," says Ian Kerner, Ph.D., author of She Comes First.
    Get dirty in the shower
Haven't given a hand job since high school? It's time to get back to basics. Hop into the shower with him, soap up your hands, and wrap one around his shaft, squeezing as you move up and down, then switch to shorter, faster strokes on the head of his penis. If he can't guess your next move, his arousal will intensify. And when you do finally hit the sheets, there will be an erotic payoff.

Fascinating Facts About Period For Beauty Info Korner English

  • Iqra Naveed
  • It can make you think you like a guy.
Lower estrogen levels during your period can increase your "male cognitive skills," such as spatial thinking, according to Pauline Maki, Ph.D., associate professor of psychiatry and psychology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. This doesn't mean you'll start obsessing over fantasy football, but your map-reading skills may peak along with your period.

    There's no need to bleed.
While some women think extended-cycle birth-control pills (the ones that put your period on hiatus) are the greatest things since chocolate-covered pretzels, others worry about tweaking Mother Nature. Relax, says Mary Jane Minkin, M.D., clinical professor in the department of obstetrics and gynecology at Yale University School of Medicine: "Your uterus won't explode if you don't have a period." Extended-cycle pills give you 28 days of hormones, rather than 21 plus seven placebo pills, so there's no hormonal vacay week of bleeding. In fact, you can benefit from taking any kind of birth-control pills. Studies show they decrease your risk ofovarian cancer by about 50 percent.

    Stress can make a period more—or less—frequent.
Not only can stress wreck your sleep—it can also throw a wrench into your cycle, says F. Ralph Dauterive, M.D., chairman of obstetrics and gynecology at Ochsner Clinic in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. "Your brain responds to nerve-racking events by releasing stress hormones that can interfere with those regulating your cycle, setting you up for irregular periods, shorter cycles, or even menses that go MIA for months at a time."
It can make you crave sex.
Though you may be more inclined to reach for your comfy sweats over lacy lingerie, a lot of women find themselves turned on during menstruation. Since the level of progesterone—the hormone that some experts blame for putting a damper on libido—is at its lowest during your period, you might feel frisky, Minkin says. More good news: Researchers say frequent boot knocking and being exposed to hormones in male armpit sweat (no, you don't have to sniff it) can lead to more regular cycles.

Period Can Tell You About Your Health For Beauty Info Korner English

  • Iqra Naveed
  • You may think the only thing your period can tell you is whether or not you're pregnant—or if need to pop an ibuprofen because your cramps hurt like hell. But your menstrual cycle can actually clue you in to other health issues, too.
According to new research from the American Heart Association, women whose periods start at age 10 or younger—or 17 and older—have a higher risk of developing heart disease, stroke, and health complications related to high blood pressure. Women who experience their first menstrual cycle at 13, however, have the least risk of experiencing those conditions. Granted, that doesn't mean that your period causes any of these problems—or that you're doomed to experience them if you're an early or late bloomer. But it's still a good reminder that your flow can serve as an indication of other things going on in your bod.
"While menstrual habits may change a bit through the decades, it's important to consider changes in menses, such as change in frequency, length, and amount [of flow]," says ob-gyn Alyssa Dweck, M.D., co-author of V is for Vagina. Here, Dweck shares six conditions your period could tip you off to. Make an appointment with your gyno if you suspect any of them may be an issue for you.
    Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)
Women who have PCOS suffer from a hormone imbalance that leads to problems with their periods and their ability to get pregnant (it can also lead to excess facial hair, obesity, ovarian cysts, infertility troubles, and other side effects). Luckily, hormonal birth control can help treat the syndrome.
    Anemia
If you have a super heavy flow, you may be anemic, says Dweck. Anemia is a condition in which your blood lacks red blood cells or hemoglobin (the main stuff red blood cells are made of). When this happens, your body doesn't absorb enough oxygen, making you sluggish and giving you other unpleasant symptoms, such as headaches and dizziness. Since this can also cause an iron deficiency, your doc may recommend supplements.
RELATED: Have Heavy Periods? You Need to Read This
    Uterine Cancer
Some of the earliest noticeable signs of uterine cancer are "irregular bleeding, bleeding after menopause, and bleeding in between menses," says Dweck. Experiencing pain during sex can also be a tip-off. Of course, these can be signs of other, less serious conditions, too—but it's worth checking with a doctor if you notice these symptoms.
    Thyroid Disease
Since your period is so driven by hormones and your thyroid plays such a large role in hormone production and regulation, noticeable changes to your period—like a lighter or heavier flow—could be an indication of thyroid issues, says Dweck. Thyroid tests can tell you if that may be behind your irregular flow.
    Pituitary Tumor
If you miss a period, it could obviously be pregnancy. But if you also notice milky breast discharge, it might mean that you have a pituitary tumor, a benign or cancerous mass on your pituitary gland. Headaches are also a possible symptom, says Dweck. These are most often found in older adults (so don't go into instant freakout mode and self-diagnose), but they can occur at any age.
    An Eating Disorder
When you're not eating right, it can affect your flow. "Absent menses in the presence of rapid or notable weight loss, with a low BMI, and/or excessive exercise," point doctors to eating disorders such as anorexia or bulimia, says Dweck. If this is behind your period changes, you likely already suspect that you may be suffering from disordered eating. But if you haven't come to terms with it yet, hopefully this will be the nudge you need to seek
    help.

Massaging This Body Part Guaranteed You Poop For Beauty Info Korner English

  • Iqra Naveed
  • If you've ever had an issue going to the bathroom, you know that sometimes you're willing to try anything to get some relief. Fiber, stool softeners, cleanses—whatever, bring it on.
But there's one thing you probably haven't tried, and it might be the key to get things moving with zero side effects. The downside: It's a little...hands on. The technique involves massaging your perineum—that stretch of skin separating your private parts from your anus. (Yeah, we know, but stay with us.) The spot contains a pressure point that, when massaged, can ease constipation, according to a new study in the Journal of General Internal Medicine.
Because constipation is a super-common complaint—up to 19 percent of us deal with it, states the study, and it strikes more women than men—researchers decided to look into alternative ways to ease that plugged-up feeling besides eating more fiber-rich foods and scoring more exercise. Pregnant women have long been advised to massage their perineum regularly to help relax the area and prevent tearing during labor, and the researchers theorized that massage might help relax the bowels as well.

    RELATED: Your Digestion Questions—Answered
They divided 100 subjects who all had constipation into two groups: One group was given info on standard treatments, while the other received the treatment option info and were also taught how to self-massage the perineum. After four weeks, the researchers found that the massage group experienced improved bowel function compared to the first group. Participants who did the massage said the technique helped break up or soften their stool, and 82 percent said they would keep doing it after the study ended.
    RELATED: Settle Your Stomach
The conclusion, according to the researchers: Doctors should teach their constipated patients how to do a perineal massage instead of just telling them about bran cereal or encouraging them to work out. And while more research needs to be done to confirm that this hands-on method is truly effective, it can’t hurt to try it next time you feel clogged (and have some privacy, of course!).

Yoga Have Better Sex For Beauty Info Korner English

  • Iqra Naveed
  • Want to get your horn dog into a down dog? Unfortunately it seems a lot of guys aren't any more enthused about going to yoga than they are about going to the latest Paul Rudd movie. "You won't see many guys in yoga because they don't feel comfortable letting go of control," says Charles Matkin, who owns Matkin Yoga in New York City. "They want to be macho and punch things." But he explains that even—or perhaps especially—macho men can learn a thing or two on the mat that they can use on the mattress.
"Sex is primal," Matkin says. "You have to be okay with being dominant and submissive." He says that men's abilities in bed are also limited by back pain and overall muscle tension—two other problems yoga addresses. Men of the obviously-I'm-a-sex-god mindset may not realize just how tight their lower back and hips are from sports and sitting, or that that stiffness could possibly impact their performance. A mat quickie can correct it.

    Why He'll Be Interested
You'll have to be persuasive, though. Appeal to his intellect and explain that mastering the ancient science of yoga is akin to a dual degree in physiology and philosophy. Then put it in terms he'll really get: Applied to your sex life? "That means a little practice can turn you into a pleasure guru, babe. It can increase flexibility, improve staying power, delay ejaculation, and bring us more in sync with each other." We bet he already has two mats rolled out.
Matkin's three-pose-plus-pranayama combo is powerful enough to unleash limitless passion potential in both of you, ease the pressure of performance, and limber you up for some old-fashioned love. Ten minutes a day in these poses is even better than one full-blown yoga class each week.

    The Moves:
    1. Downward-facing dog (adho mukha svanasana), modified
Bring sexy back by helping each other release any tension or pain that's accumulated around the lumbar spine.
Ask your guy to come into downward-facing dog pose, schooling him if necessary. Then grab hold his thighs (only, wandering hands are for later) and gently pull him toward you and up, lifting the weight out of his hands slightly and releasing his lower back. Hold for 10 breaths, then switch positions. Sans partner: Take a yoga strap, belt, or tie and create a big loop. Tie one end securely to a doorknob. Then facing away from the closed door, position the strap across the middle of your thighs and tie the other end to the doorknob. You should be able to fold forward from the hips and feel some pressure on your thighs pulling you toward the door. Walk your hands forward on the floor if possible coming into down dog.

    2. Crescent lunge
Strengthening both his pelvic floor and yours will enhance his staying power double your pleasure
Stand tall, point your tailbone down, and pull you abs in. Step your right foot forward a leg's length and bend your right knee till your thigh is parallel to the floor, lowering yourself into a lunge. Straighten your left leg fully, reaching back through the heel. Then lift your arms straight up overhead or rest your hands on your hips. Engage your pelvic floor by imagining that you are holding in urine. Stay here for 10 breaths. Then switch sides.

    3. Wide-legged forward bend (prasarita padottanasana)
The ultimate groin, hips, and hamstring stretch, this pose can unlock your pelvis and allow your mojo to really move you.
Stand with your legs 4 feet apart, toes pointing slightly inward. Engage your thigh muscles, keeping your legs straight without locking your knees. Then bend forward from your hips, keeping your back flat. Place your hands on the back of chair, on your calves, or on the floor. Relax your neck and allow it to hang loosely without tension. Hold for 20 to 30 seconds, imagining the space between each vertebra of your spine expanding. As you become more flexible, your forearms will rest on floor.

    4. Bonk-me breath
Sync your breath to soothe your senses—and seduce your mat mate
Have him sit cross-legged and then sit on his lap face to face. If he's not around, imagine he is. Then start to breathe more deliberately and match your breath to your partner's, trying to make only the most minute movements. Stay for as long as possible in this frictionless position, matching your breathing to each other's. Begin to sway slightly only when you feel you're totally in tune. Begin to breathe on each other's neck or ear. Slowly take it further if you so choose.

Ways to Get Rid of Butt Acne For Beauty Info Korner English

  • Iqra Naveed
  • Ever run your hand across your back side only to find that the skin is sporting some pimples? You're so not alone. Debra Jaliman, a New York City-based dermatologist, explains exactly what these little bumps are: folliculitis. "The bumps are formed by dead skin cells and bacteria in the hair follicles." Well, that's gross. And unfortunately, women who work out are particularly prone to buttne (read on to find out why). There is some good news, though: Jaliman shared four ways that you can get rid of—and prevent—the dreaded pimples.
    1. Use a Benzoyl Peroxide Body Wash
To eradicate bumps, Jaliman recommends using a body wash with benzoyl peroxide. While the ingredient is normally used as a spot treatment for zits, Jaliman says that it's a must for getting rid of folliculitis since it dries up and sloughs off the dead skin clogging the follicle. Try PanOxyl Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Creamy Wash.
RELATED: 7 At-Home Fixes For Everyday Skin Problems
    2. Unclog Pores with Salicylic Acid Pads
Working toward a bump-free butt? Prevent future developments by unclogging pores a few times a week with a pad spiked with salicylic acid, says Jaliman. Again, what works on zits will work on these infected follicles—though they may not be painful the way zits are, they still require similar cleansing regimens. Try Neutrogena Rapid Clear Daily Treatment Pads .

    3. Use a Lotion with Lactic Acid
While you may think that slathering on a moisturizing body lotion would be counterintuitive, it’s not. The lactic acid in certain lotions gently exfoliates off dead skin cells, which Jaliman says will help you get rid of those pesky bumps. Try AmLactin Moisturizing Body Lotion.
    4. Always Shower After a Sweat Session
All right, 'fess up—do you sometimes sit around in your workout clothes after you've been hitting it hard in the gym? Jaliman says this bad habit can lead to butt bumps. "It's best to shower right after a workout so you don't sit around in clothing you've been sweating in that's filled with bacteria," she says. She recommends using a loofah, puff, or sonic cleansing brush like the Clarisonic Plus Face & Body Sonic Cleansing Brush  to remove any sweat, bacteria, or dead skin cells that may be sitting on the surface.

These Two Bra Sizes, You're Probably Wearing the Wrong One For Beauty Info Korner English

  • Iqra Naveed
  • Your bra size is very near and dear to your heart—literally. It's easy to get a little too hung up on the numbers and letters we see on the tag and end up in the wrong size because of it. In fact, there are two particular sizes tons of women think they are—even though they're not. The culprits? 34B and 36C
They sound pretty average, right? That’s exactly the problem. “A lot of women think of these sizes as the norm, so they start off there when shopping and never really learn how a proper bra should fit,” says Jenny Altman, fit and style expert for Aerie. “Even I wore one of those sizes for years.”
f you wear one of these sizes and are suddenly questioning everything you thought you knew about your breasts, don’t panic. Find a mirror, ditch your T-shirt, and look out for these signs that you’re wearing the wrong size.
RELATED: 31 Ways to Have More Fun With Your Boobs Every Day
You Can Slide Your Band Up and Down
“If you have your band on the tightest hook and it can still move around, your bra is too big,” says Altman. The band, not the straps, support your breasts. This is especially important if you’re a C cup or above and depend on your bra to avoid back pain and keep the girls up where you want them. A proper band fit is also extremely important when you’re wearing a convertible or strapless bra because you don’t have straps to help compensate for a too-big band.
Other signs that your band is too big: straps that dig into your shoulders or constantly need to be tightened.
So say you wear a 36C and your shoulders ache by the end of the day. Try going down to a 34 band and up to a D cup. “A lot of women have what I call ‘the fear of D’ because they think it means they’re big or overweight, but that’s not true,” says Altman.
    RealityTVGIFs animated GIF
Still not sure if your band is the right size? Check out the back of your bra in the mirror. Is the band straight across your back, parallel to the floor? If yes, then it’s probably a good fit. If your band is riding up or pulling, you need a smaller size.

    You've Got Boob Bulge
Look at the front of your bra. If you’ve got boob overflow (a.k.a. “double boob”) either in the front or on the sides, you don't have enough room in the cup. Cleavage is great, but bulge that can show through your clothes, not so much.
“Also, if the center area between the two cups is floating away or not touching your skin instead of laying flat against you, it’s time to move up a cup size,” says Altman.
RELATED: Your Boobs Age Faster Than You Do—How to Deal
All of Your Bras Are the Exact Same Size
Not all bras are created equal. Just because you’re a 34B in a demi bra doesn’t mean you’re a 34B in a full-coverage bra. “Think of it like jeans,” says Altman, “You might be a size 28 in boyfriend jeans, but you may need a bigger size in skinny jeans.” Like denim, different style bras have such specific fit and can vary by brand.
    bird animated GIF
Demi bras are low-cut—sometimes called “half cups”—and they have significantly less material than a full-coverage bra in the same size. So you may wear a 34B in a demi bra but a 34A in a full-coverage, says Altman.

    Still Not Sure?
When in doubt, head to a specialty store for a bra fitting. “A good fitter will bring you a few sizes and a few styles so that you can really find what’s right for you,” says Altman. Wear a light T-shirt so that the fitter can get as accurate a number as possible when taking measurements.

“Would you wear a size 8.5 sneaker when you know that you’re an 8?" asks Altman. "Absolutely not.” Your boobs deserve to be treated just as well as your feet (if not better).

8 Ways to Make Your Pores Look Smaller For Beauty Info Korner English

  • Iqra Naveed
  • Women would do just about anything to reduce the appearance of their pores. In fact, in a recent Harris Poll sponsored by L’Oreal, 23 percent of women said they would give up their favorite cocktails for a whole year just to have smaller pores. Thankfully, there's a lot you can do to minimize the issue—none of which involve sacrificing happy hour.
    Exfoliate Often
Use a combination of both physical exfoliants (like facial scrubs) and chemical exfoliants (like alcohol-free glycolic serums) on a regular basis. This will help remove dry surface cells so the openings of your pores aren’t as deep, making them look smaller, says celebrity estheticianRenee Rouleau. As an added bonus, chemical exfoliants can get into the pores and help clean them out.
    Keep Your Face Clean
That means cleansing twice a day with a pH-balanced cleanser, says dermatologist Kavita Mariwalla, M.D. Consider using a facial brush like Clarisonic Aria Sonic Cleansing  or the Olay Professional Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System
    Wear Sunscreen
Exposure to UVA and UVB rays creates free radical damage, which slows down cell production. "Slow cell production forces your skin to work harder," says Shawn Solomon, a paramedical esthetician and owner ofThornhill Skin Care. "In turn, the stratum corneum thickens, and this can make the pores look large and ruddy."

    Apply Retinol-Based Products
"They work by decreasing the cohesiveness of the epidermal cells so all the debris gets removed from the pores," says Debra Jaliman, M.D., a New York City dermatologist and author of Skin Rules. Jaliman recommends Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Serum ($21,neutrogena.com) or Roc Retinol Correxion Max Wrinkle Resurfacing System ($30, rocskincare.com).
    Take a Steam
Cecilia Wong, a holistic esthetician and owner of Cecilia Wong Skincare, suggests opening up pores and removing debris, oil, and other impurities with an herbal facial steam. To do this, combine hot water, fresh red rose petals, lavender, pansy, rosemary, basil, and mint in a large bowl. Cover the top of the bowl with a dish towel for five minutes, then remove the towel and slowly move your face over the steam. Inhale the aromatic scent, and remain under the towel for 10-15 minutes. This will allow the steam to bring oxygen and moisture to your face while cleansing pores. Afterward, rinse with tepid water, and pat dry.

    Book a Spa Day
One of the most popular professional treatments for achieving a youthful complexion with petite pores is microdermabrasion, says Maria Rianna, lead esthetician at White Tea Med Spa in New York City. This procedure works by peeling off the outermost layer of skin, abrading the blackheads off, and using suction to effectively pull out the remaining dirt and hardened oil from the pores. When the trapped oil reaches the surface, the pores return to their natural (smaller) shape since there's nothing inside to enlarge them. The procedure also stimulates collagen production and increases elasticity, which is essential for keeping pores tight. Other salon treatments like laser resurfacing and light chemical peels can also strip pores of debris and tighten them.
    Wipe Down Post-Workout
This prevents sweat from clogging pores, says California-based dermatologist Michael Lin, M.D. Keep towelettes that are moistened with gentle cleansers and salicylic acid in your gym bag to make washing your face more convenient.

We spend nine months of the year waiting for summer—the sunshine, the longer days, the warm weather, the barely-there wardrobe that comes with it all. But it's a bit of a catch-22 that the same weather that begs for sleeveless tops and short-shorts can also make our skin break out in those newly exposed places.
“We’re outside, being more active and sweating more, so our pores are more likely to get clogged,” says Jennifer Segal, M.D., a dermatologist in Houston. “We’re exposing more of our skin to different environments than it’s used to, so breakouts might appear in more areas than we’re used to.”

Despite the perfect storm of acne-friendly conditions, there’s no reason for your sundresses or shorts to gather dust, or for you to hide out in air-conditioned isolation until Labor Day. We've talked to the experts and gotten head-to-toe advice for keeping your skin blemish-free. Here’s how to battle breakouts on your scalp, back, butt, bikini line, and more.

    Scalp
“Warmer, more humid weather means your skin is producing more oil,” says Josh Zeichner, M.D., assistant professor of dermatology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. “The scalp is loaded with oil glands, [which] predisposes the area for breakouts.” Also, fungus—which lives in oily environments, like scalp skin—can cause bumps that resemble pimples.
A salicylic acid-spiked shampoo, like Neutrogena T/Sal Therapeutic Shampoo ($6, drugstore.com), can help control excess oil and exfoliate away dead skin cells that could be clogging pores. And if you tend to get dandruff, stay ahead of the situation and use an anti-fungal shampoo likeHead & Shoulders Clinical ($7, target.com).

    Ears
Hair products can combine with perspiration to create painful bumps, says Doris Day, M.D., clinical assistant professor of dermatology at New York University medical school. (Yet another reason the pixie haircut is perfect for summer.)
Wearing your hair up is one solution. Another is avoiding heavy, waxy products. Make sure to wipe your ears with an acne-treatment pad containing glycolic or salicylic acid to clear pore-clogging culprits. TryNip + Fab Glycolic Fix Exfoliating Facial Pads ($13, ulta.com).

    Chest
Clogged sweat glands can often cause breakouts on your chest, says Los Angeles dermatologist Jessica Wu, M.D. “This is a condition called ‘miliaria,’ and it occurs after heavy perspiration. The breakout looks like tiny whiteheads.” Also called heat rash, the raised bumps can be itchy and uncomfortable.
Keep your skin cool and clear of sweat with cleansing towelettes like Ban Total Refresh Cooling Body Cloths ($3, drugstore.com). When you’re out in the sun, keep your skin protected with a light sunscreen like Neutrogena CoolDry Sport ($9, drugstore.com), which will allow your sweat to evaporate to help keep your skin from overheating. Use a peel once a week to exfoliate, which will help keep your chest clear before you’re in a hot spot. Try Renée Rouleau Triple Berry Smoothing Peel
